Scientific Method and Possibility of Ancient Aliens

The Scientific method is a method of acquiring knowledge that leads to the  development of science. It involves careful observation and applying a theory  and hypothesis to what is observed.  


The scientific method in lab science like chemistry or biology uses precise observation of what is  studied and confirms or reviews the observations with the theory. On the other hand the scientific  method used in astronomy is quite different then the one used for lab science. First of all we  can’t be 100% sure of the observation, for example if we view a glowing door in the sky. We can’t be  100% sure whether it is a planet or a star or some different celestial astronomical body unlike lab science where we choose the animal or chemical beforehand to study it. In lab science we  are hundred percent sure that what we are studying is what we are intending to study, unlike in  astronomy we are not sure unless we get very high resolution telescopes that which star we  studied yesterday is the same star that we are studying today.  

Even though the scientific method is rather vague in astronomy, still we can be quite sure of  what the astronomers are studying because of their high resolution telescope that they spend  billions to build. Therefore astronomers are very confident of their understanding of objects that  are remote from earth. They even consider errors in their observations and develop a method to  formulate and come to conclusions to be sure of their observations. 

There is a lot of evidence that our ancestors were really good astronomers. They used  astronomy and observed stars to locate directions, to identify the different seasons and many  more. They built a lot of astronomical functions and information structures like stonehenge,  chichen itza, the great pyramid but some still believe that these are made by some ancient  aliens that came to the earth for don’t know what!

I like to put some of the points against this notion that aliens came to earth in ancient times and  built those objects.

  1.       Why will aliens come to earth? 

  2. Even if they wanted to explore and come to earth, why would they build such structures?  Won’t they be more interested in studying earth?

  3. Why did they leave Earth, wouldn't they have colonised it? Won’t we colonise other planets if we knew it was very habitable. Even though Mars isn’t perfectly habitable like earth, Elon  musk can stop fantasising about the colonisation of Mars. 

  4. If aliens visited us they must have come from very far and surely they ought to be very  intelligent beings. Then why the hell are they making those structures, with stones and  other old fashioned materials. Shouldn’t they have used some strong metal that made their  spaceship. It would stay still till now but no they wanted it to get destroyed so when  humans become intelligent enough they fantasise whether we visited or not instead of  leaving solid evidence right!!!

These four points are enough to prove that those objects are not made by the aliens but our own  ancestors to understand the universe and the different seasons and about earth in general.  If aliens come here on earth they won’t leave !!

Oumuamua
