Invisibility Cloak for Muggles : Quantum Stealth

The porous division of Reality and Fiction grows thinner day by day. Invisibility once considered to be a superpower can now be soon accessible to the public. The Invisibility Cloak as we know in the Harry Potter series is no longer purely fictional. Guy Cramer, President & CEO of HyperStealth Biotechnology Corp., claims that his invention can now render a person or a building completely invisible. So, what exactly is his creation? And how does it manage to render objects undetectable?

HyperStealth Biotechnology Corporation is a successful military camouflage uniform manufacturer and designer. They've provided over two million military uniforms, as well as 4000 vehicles and fighter jets, with Guy Cramer alone designing over 14,000 camouflage pattern designs. It was founded in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, in 1999.

In 2011, Guy decided to create a material that could make objects invisible. He called it Quantum Stealth. By bending light waves around the target, this material could later not only hide the target but also block the thermal spectrum, remove infrared, ultraviolet images, and its shadow. The 'Invisibility Cloak' quickly gained popularity in the news and on social media platforms.

Quantum Stealth as asserted by Guy in his patent application will be used for military purposes to hide jets, tanks and agents in the field of operation. HyperStealth specified that the Quantum Stealth was ‘paper-thin’ and ‘inexpensive’ and required no power source. Furthermore, they stated, “It can hide a person, a vehicle, a ship, spacecraft and buildings. The patent discusses 13 versions of the material and the patent allows for many more configurations. One piece of Quantum Stealth can work in any environment, in any season at any time of the day or night, something no other camouflage is capable of.”

“And then Death asked the third and youngest brother what he would like. The youngest brother was the humblest and also the wisest of the brothers, and he did not trust Death. So he asked for something that would enable him to go forth from that place without being followed by Death. And Death, most unwillingly, handed over his own Cloak of Invisibility.”
